Scanning Vendors
Scanning Vendors provide the Quarterly Scanning Tool neccesary for organisations to validate their adherence to certain PCI DSS requirements. By performing vulnerability scans of Internet facing environments of merchants and service providers the objective is to ensure that applications are secure against known vulnerabilities. The PCI Security Standards Council maintains an official list of ASV’s or Approved Scanning Vendors.
