This was the first conference devoted entirely to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS). It’s objective was to cover compliance requirements, and cultivate discussion with experts to answer the tough questions facing business at the time. PCI Europe 07 focused on how to prepare for and survive an audit from both the technical and business perspectives. A large part of the conference was devoted to learning the intent of each requirement, how to scope your compliance needs, and common tools for achieving compliance. A smaller part was devoted to conversation with experienced industry experts, acquirers, and others on how they handled compliance requirements. The conference was intended to foster an understanding about how to reduce implementation costs and provide a list of options and tools for how to amend business strategies.
