Executive Summary
It is vital to tackle the security challenges presented to the payment card industry by issues such as information security and data privacy as well as fraud protection for both consumers and suppliers. Those issues are not only operational but also fundamental requirements in order to retain existing customers.
The payment industry is now working together in order to proactively tackle such challenges (not least through the PCI Data Security Standard) in order to adopt more robust security policies, protect brand reputation, and increase customer trust.
Building on the success of PCI Europe, PCI Europe Series, and PCI CEMEA Series, PCI Kiev will aim to attract key stakeholders in the payment card industry, and will meet the needs of merchants, acquirers, and payments processors who are responsible for securing their transaction environment throughout the Ukraine.
